Robert Saleh walks the plank for the sins of his offense
Firing coaches is not always reasonable, and here we are.

There wasn’t much of a reason for the Jets to fire Robert Saleh. Their defense has essentially been good from the minute he walked through the door sans a small loading phase in 2021. That was Saleh’s background, and he delivered.
But the thing about the NFL — something that is both endearing at times and incredibly stupid at others — is that it is one of the few places in America that is still run by family businesses. And team owner Woody Johnson made this decision because, in his words, it’s the most talented team he’s had in 25 years and he wanted to save it before it was too late.
